Hell Spawn

Well guys, for starters can you introduce your band to our readers? (When you started, the members, who started the band etc..).
We started the band around the end of 2006. The members are, Morrie 'VOZ' Vozdecky (Vocals /Guitar), Jeff Kittren ( guitar and formerly of Synergy), Raven Blakkwell (bass  & formerly of Mister Nasty and The Throb's) and Jason Marxx on drums/vocals  and formerly of Dreamzfate and current with Pete Blakk of King Diamonds new band DisasterPeace. Jeff and me started the band, we meet at an Iron Maiden Tribute show in Florida.

You just released your debut full lenth cd, happy with the way it turned out?
Yes, Its great to be done with the recording and out playing shows. For our 1st cd out of the gate I can't complain to much.  We were able to record within our budget and deliver some Killer metal for people who love metal.

Are there any other releases before that?
We did do a 5 song demo, but we never really official released it.  I think the Audio needs to better, But the songs are solid metal Jams. So we might redo it or just release it the way it is.

I've read somewhere that you are planning a conceptstory with your first albums, please tell us something more about that!
What we did was, we came up with this idea that every person in the band should have there own Demon territorial symbol, with each having there own meaning. So the first cd released "The awakening"  is with Voz's symbol  Meaning, This area is claimed as the feeding ground of a Demon.
The second cd released "The creation"  is with Jeff's symbol meaning,  That the region is the domain of a Demon and visiting Demons must seek permission to hunt here. The third cd  released "The transformation" is with Raven's symbol meaning,  None may hunt here, except for the Demon who dwells here. The fourth cd released "The completion" is with Jason's symbol meaning,  Supernatural death is here and the region should be avoided for a generation.

And off course tell us something about the concept story itself!
The songs are all with dark evil intention and stories to them.  Revenge is about how a man seen his loved one tore apart in front of him and commits the rest of his life to destroy the evil that hunts his families blood line.  We will keep all the songs in this dark melodic evil power metal format.  

More and more bands nowadays operate indepent, you guys aswell if I am not mistaken!? Are you looking for a deal or do you like to be in control?
What we need is help with promotion, touring and radio air play. And I think thats where the future will be with Record labels, because they have they contacts for all of that. And with technology today, you can do all the tracking and recording of your band in your own home studio's. Then take your tracks to be professional mixed and mastered by a Pro Studio. So if a label wanted to sign us to help make our job a little easier that would be great, with in reason, Haha.

You are already planning your second cd, and as you told us already there will be some guest around to help, care to tell us something more on that? Around when can we expect it?
I am looking forward to working with Pete Blakk , Matthais Lange and Johnny Osbourne on the next cd. These guys will be in Florida during the month of  January. Pete was formerly of King Diamond, Matthais plays with metalium and Johnny plays with Circle to Circle.  If there is enough time I would like to have Pete and Matthais lay down guest solo's. And Johnny was goin to help me with re-amping guitars. He learned from James Murphy on how to re-amp.

Can you tell the people how they can obtain the album!? For it's available as a cd but also as a digital download right?
You can down load the cd on mycontent.com for digital download now. And we just signed up with cdbaby.com but were waiting for the final art work for the cd. Then once we have that we will send it in to cdbaby so people can purchase cd or digital down load it also.  We will also have band shirts, guitar picks,  dog tags and other merchandise available soon.

Dunno about your ambitions, but are there plans about touring Europe? Or will that be too expensive without labelsupport?
We would love to come to Europe and play metal for all those who love metal. We might get lucky enough to be asked to play smaller festivals. Which we would just pay our way to come and do.  Our goal is to be able to play Wacken  and other festivals like that.  We are good friends with a metal band called Cage and they usually come for a 3 week tour to europe. So might do that with them and split the expense, if it works out that we can do it.

How about playing live? Do you guys get to play a lot?
We have started to play around the Tampa Bay Florida area. We will be going with Cage to play Mayday metal fest in Atlanta Georgia May 1st 2010.
Then were looking into booking shows in Chicago, New York and Texas.

Any dreams or ambitions?
Yes, to inspire young kids to burn there rap and grunge cd's and to pick up a guitar and start learning the power of how to shred. Metal is like a Religion to guys like us, we live it, we love it and we would die for it. And our big dream would be to come to Europe and play all the killer metal festivals that you have to offer for the fans of metal over there. And drink Germany dry! Haha.

Current futureplans?
We will be playing Sword metal Fest April 30th in Florida, with Cage, Backlash, Seventh Kingdom and other power metal bands. And off course also doing a lot of recording in 2010.

One thing we would like to say is thank you to all the metal Heads out there that support the cause and keep metal alive. And to all the guys out there like you Nico, taking the time to make sure the voice of under ground metal is being heard. Its guys like you that make it possible for bands like ours to care on. And that's why we wrote the song metalFockers, its about all the people who rock out and tailgate before shows and show there support in the cold, rain, sunny and the snow. Nothing will stop metal heads from cranking metal, this song is for all of you!
