Hey Iron Maiden. Dat was het eerste waar ik aan dacht bij opener "Ignite the fire". Het ligt vooral aan de Dickinson-achtige manier van zingen (en stemgeluid) van vocalist Guilherme Sevens. Want een paar songs verder gaat het er (muzikaal) wel iets moderner aan toe. Al zit heel wat NWOBHM (vooral Maiden en Priest dan) in het debuut van deze Brazilianen, het is tegelijk ook heel up to date metal. Een aangename verrassing, evenals het feit dat de heer Sevens redelijk (tot zeer) accentloos zingt. Extra aandachtstrekkers zijn er in de personen van Chris Boltendahl (Grave Digger), Gus Monsanto (ex-Adagio, Revolution Renaissance) en producer Renato Tribuzy (van de gelijknamige band). Ondanks dat dit al eerder gehoord is, is "Dark world burden" een fijn, en vooral krachtig album! Ga toch maar even luisteren op: http://www.myspace.com/painsideofficial

Hey Iron Maiden. That was the first thing that came to mind with opening song "Ignite the fire". The Dickinson like way of singing (and sound) of vocalist Guilherme Sevens is responsible for that. Because a few songs further it sounds (musically) somewhat more modern. Although there is quite a deal of NWOBHM (especially Maiden and Priest) in the debut of these Brazilians, at the same time it is very up to date metal. A pleasant surprise, also because mister Sevens sings without an accent. Extras that attract attention are there in the person of Chris Boltendahl (Grave Digger), Gus Monsanto (ex-Adagio, Revolution Renaissance) and producer Renato Tribuzy (of the same band).
